Video Tutorial

In this tutorial we will see how to build a level meter with rhythmic audio lights, very easy, it includes the printed circuit. This project is based on the KA2284 integrated circuit.

KA2284 Integrated Circuit Features

  • High gain rectifier amplifier included (Gv = 26dB)
  • Low radiation noise when LED lights up
  • Logarithmic indicator for 5-point bar-type LED.
  • Constant current output (15mA)
  • Wide operating supply voltage range is between (3.5V ~ 16V)
  • No diode or transistor required for ALC or automatic volume control
  • Minimum number of external parts required

The KA2284 is a monolithic integrated circuit. This integrated circuit is very simple and does not have adjustment pins, in a normal way they cannot be connected in series and it is designed to measure audio, and therefore it is logarithmic.

The ka2284 is an integrated circuit whose application is for the development of a logarithmic level meter, which has 5-level measurement, the package is of the 9-SIP package type. One of the main advantages is that it has a high-gain input, so we don't need a preamplifier to make it work, reducing construction costs.
