Build R2 D2

I am building a full size R2D2. Each week I will be adding more. This is in hopes that others will comment and help in the process making a very solid tutorial on how to build a R2 Please, help fund it through my Patreon.

R2 is my all time favorite robot from scifi and technology is to the point where we can build robots. This tutorial will go over what is needed in each part, how to build the parts, and programming. The idea for this is to use an Raspberry pi for the brains and Arduino for the functions and sensing.

There are many R2 building clubs out there. There is Make that has put this articular up which is a great place to start. And of course you should see the Wookieepedia page which give the history and back ground on R2.

Astromech was the first site that I have been in this quest. It has blueprints and many others that have already built a R2.
