Bubbly Bath Bomb

Bubbly Bath Bomb in Action

A fun way to enjoy bath time.

Gather the Kitchen Utensils

First Gather all the kitchen utensils needed for this project. All kitchen utensils needed listed below.

-1 cup measuring cup

-1/2 cup measuring cup

-1/4 cup measuring cup

-one large bowl

-one small bowl

-any number of medium sized bowls (depending on how many different colors are being made)

-1 tb. measuring spoon

-1/4 tb. measuring spoon

-a mixer

-any sized bath bomb mold

Gather the Ingredients

Next gather all the ingredients needed for this project. All ingredients needed are listed below.

- 1 cup baking soda

-1/2 cup citric acid

-1 tb. coconut oil

-1/4 cup Epsom salt

-1 tb. liquid bubble soap (Mr. Bubbles)

-1/4 tsp. essential oil

- food coloring

Dry Ingredients

Mix together in a big bowl baking soda, citric acid, and Epsom salt.

Add the Coconut Oil

In a small bowl put 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and put in microwave for about 15 seconds to melt. Once the coconut oil is done melting carefully add it to the large bowl while gently mixing the ingredients.

Add the Liquid Bubble Soap

Put one tablespoon of liquid bubble soap into the same small bowl and using a dropper carefully add it to the rest of the ingredients one drop at a time. When adding the liquid bubble soap mix the ingredients fast so the citric acid doesn't activate. The mixed ingredients should look something like the third picture shown and have a clumpy consistency.

Add Essential Oil

Add 1/4 of a teaspoon of essential oil to the large bowl and mix it in with all the other ingredients. Then separate into three medium sized bowls.

Add Food Coloring

Add different colorants to each bowl and mix until color is visible.

Fit Into Molds to Dry

Separate different colors into molds to dry for 48 hours.
