Bread Jamun

Gulab Jamun is one of the best Indian Dessert. Usually we make it with koya which is made from shrinking the milk. but now we are going to make the gulab jamun with BREAD. It also resembles the same taste of the traditional gulab jamun though it is maded with completely different ingredient which is the base for it.

SUPPLIES

Bread - 10 slices (corners chopped)

Sugar - 1 cup (200grams approx)

Mik - 5 teaspoons

Cardamom - 3 pods (or) Saffron - A pinch

Water - 2 cups (500 ml)

GRINDING

Image 1: Make the bread into pieces and tranfer it to a mixer.

Image 2: Blend the Bread into crumbles.

KNEADING

Image 1: Add 5 tablespoons of milk to the bread crumbles.

Image 2: Knead it into a soft and smooth dough.

Image 3: Shape the dough into small balls without any cracks.

SUGAR SYRUP

Boil one cup of sugar and two cups of water along with the cardamom.

boil the syrup untill it gets one string consistency and turn off the flame.

FRYING

Image 1: Heat the oil at a high flame.

Image 2: once the oil gets heated keep the fame at low and add the balls.

Image 3: Deep fry the bread balls until it becomes Golden brown colour.

SOAKING

Image 1: After taking out the bread balls from the oil immediately soak it in the sugar syrup and soak upto 2 hours.

Image 2: The BREAD GULAB JAMUN is ready to Serve.
