Braids for Days!

Ever wish you could tie your hair up in a stylish braid but don't know how? Well, wish no longer! I will take you step by step to learn how to French braid your or your friends hair in 10 easy steps!
Gather Materials

For the braiding process you will need the following materials:
- Hairbrush or comb
- Elastic hair tie
- detangling spray (optional)
Detangle Hair

First, brush through all of the hair with a hairbrush or comb. This will allow you to braid on tangle free hair!
Create Triangular Section of Hair

Next, gather a triangular section of hair from the top center of the head.
Create Three Even Sections

Take your triangular section of hair and divide it into 3 equal sections.
Cross Left Section Over Into Middle

After you create your three equal parts, take the left section of the triangle and cross it over so it is now in the middle.
Cross Right Section of Hair Into Middle

After crossing the left side into the middle, repeat by taking the section of hair on the right and crossing it over to the center.
Cross Left Section of Hair Into Middle While Adding Hair From Sides

Next, cross the left section of hair to the middle again, this time grabbing a small section of hair from the side and adding it to the middle.
Repeat Same Process on Right Side

After step 6, you will repeat the same process on the other side, adding in a section of hair from the side as you cross the hair into the middle.
Continue Process Until You Get to the Nape of the Neck

Continue this process until you get to the nape of the neck.
Cross Hair Left and Right to the Middle Without Adding in Hair

When you get to the nape, you will have no hair to add in from the sides, but you will continue crossing left and right to the center until the hair can no longer be braided.
Secure With an Elastic!

Finally, secure with an elastic!
Yay! You Did It!
See, it wasn't that hard! Now that you know how to do a basic frenchbraid, it will be easy to do more complex styles! Have fun braiding!
