This is a neat little bracelet for beginners. It is an easy process and the result is worth it.

Learning How to Braid

Start off by getting three different colored strands of leather. I like 5 mm thick string, cut off a little more than two feet of each color. Make a knot at the top which leaves about an inch of string above the knot. Take the string that is all the way to the left, my black one was to the left so I took it and put it to the right of the middle string so that the black became the middle string. Then I took the string that was all the way to the right which was my brown string and put it to the left of the black string so that the brown string became the middle string. Keep repeating this, left string over middle then right string over middle. Stop when you have braided enough to fit around your wrist. If you know how to braid then you are all set.

Closing the End

When your braid is long enough, make a knot at the end which leaves about an inch of string below it like the first knot. There will now be three one inch strings at the end of each side. You want to take both of the same colored strings and double knot them, do this to all three pairs of the same color. After you do this, it will look a little messy so trim the extra strings off.

The Finishing Touch

Cut another piece of string and glue the end to the start of the all the knots. Then wrap it around all the knots. Once the knots are covered, cut off the extra string and glue the end of the string to the bracelet. Next step, enjoy and show off your bracelet!
