I was out in my mam's back garden having a smoke and i noticed this big long box thingy (see pic 1)

Now there's an awful lot of auld shite in this back yard, but i thought I'd still better seek permission to commandeer this long box garden rubbish holder yolk.

Apparently it had belonged to my brother Liam and had once been utilised as a storage device for DVD's, Xbox games and the odd book.

Essentially a stone-age hard-drive!

So having gained authorization and sought commission (Liam made me a large mug of coffee) I embarked on my new restoration project.

This is something the cool kids are calling now "up-cycling"

First I gathered up a few essentials to assist in my endeavour-

1. Screw gun
2. screws & rawlplugs
3. my pencil
4. L brackets
5. Spirit level
6. Drill

Before rushing in and screwing like a crazy man i took her in and cleaned her up.

For this i used a well known reliable spray, some scrubbers i found and a generous amount of elbow-grease (optional)

I then got the tools I'd be needing first together and cleared my space in which to work. This prevents confusion or accident or both!

A clean workplace is a happy workplace.

L bracket in hand and armed with a pencil I figured out what height to mount the timber hexagon.

With my first bracket level and flush to the wall i coloured in the three wee holes with my pencil. I then took my Drill and using a 7mm masonry drill-bit made 3 holes about an inch or so deep.

Next I bet a crowd of screws into the wall to keep 'Bracket A' at its desired height. I then lifted the box and balanced it on one end of my bracket. With a spirit level on top i drew a straight line across the bottom of the box. Now with my line drawn on the wall I could decide where best to position 'Bracket B' ensuring balance and evenly distributing the weight.

After establishing the position for 'Bracket B' I attached it in the same way as 'Bracket A'

And Hey-Presto!

I threw the ex garden obstacle up onto the brackets and drove a few screws up through the bottom to stop it sliding off and hitting Liam on the head.

I told him he should now paint it, hang some hooks off the bottom of it and maybe add some lights and a phone charger...

He told me to feck-off and get a life!!
