Bottle Trap

This is a simple trap for mice and voles. Basically, all you need to do is dig a hole 30-45 cm deep, with a top narrower than the bottom so that once the mice are caught, they can't easily crawl out. Then, set a flat-bottomed rock over the hole, raised up enough that small animals can get under it. You're done. Animals will run under the rock to escape danger and, in doing so, fall down the hole, where you can reach in a grab them whenever you are ready to prepare them.
