Botanical Terrarium

Botanical Terrarium.jpg

My friend had a ton of fake flowers and random leaf clippings that were going to go to the trash. Instead they went into my craft pile. After finishing a jar of candy the perfect moment hit to make a lovely mini Botanical Terrarium. This is something really easy to put together as a short afternoon craft project and the versatility of the combinations of the same ingredients is a lot of fun to play around with.

Supplies:

  • Rocks collected from outside
  • Fake Flowers (or real)
  • A jar of your choosing
  • Sand colored spray paint (optional)
  • I did not have one, but a nice ribbon around the rim would tie everything off beautifully!

Step 1: Spray Paint for That Beachy Color

  • Take your sand color spray paint and lightly spray paint the tops of the rocks collected.
  • Spray paint the lid of the jar (top and bottom) and the bottom of the jar.

Step 2: Dry and Assemble

  • Allow the rocks and jar to dry
    • Make sure to have the jar bottom resting on top of the lid while it is drying
      • This will allow the jar lid and bottom of the jar to stick together
  • Assemble the rocks inside of the jar to your pleasing

Step 3: Add Your Ingredients!
