Bored? Minecraft Board Game!

My brother really likes making games, he asked me to put this on the website for him, so he gets the credit. This is a fun Minecraft game in which you mine blocks to collect XP and attempt to rid the world of monsters. But beware, for as you go about the monsters can get you. First off I'd like to apologize for the terrible pictures, my phone camera doesn't work, so you get the pictures from my seven year old camera. Now, let's get started.

Supplies

For this game you'll need card board, tape and these files below. The Player and monster cards will need three copies of each, double sided. The Box outlines will need 8 copies printed for a total of 16 blocks. You'll need one copy of each of the player stats. You'll also need to three-D print one set of the Minecraft characters. If you don't have a printer you can also make extra boxes and write the names, or draw the figures on.

Cut and Separate All Cards

Using the paper cutter, or a pair of scissors cut the cards according to what they are. Separate them. I took one of my scraps so I could separate them by type, but you can also look at the back to separate them.

Cardboard Holder

The total height is 17.5" The length is 14" the width is 9.5" each shelf is 2.5". Cut the cardboard so you have two pieces as shown in the drawing, one piece that is 9.5" by 17.5" and one piece that is 14" by 9.5". In the pieces from the drawing cut one inch divots in every 2.5". Cut 7 pieces of cardboard that are 11.5" by 2". One inch in from each side cut 1.5" divots. Take the pieces from the drawings and the smaller rectangle. Tape the sides that match length together, then take the larger rectangle and tape it onto the back. take the cardboard shelves and insert them into the holes. Place your blocks in the slots as shown in picture. Unfortunately I was unable to take pictures as this was done, so hopefully my instructions make sense.

Make the Boxes

Assemble the boxes. You'll need six wood blocks, four grass, two gold blocks, two iron blocks, one diamond block and one crafting table. If you don't have a three-D printer then you'll need to draw those blocks too.

Damage for Tools

In this Minecraft game there are two different tools, pickaxes and swords. With a wooden sword you can do two damage, with iron and gold you do three damage, diamond swords do four damage, if you don't have a sword you do one damage.

Pickaxes: Your hand can mine wood and grass, wood can mine grass, wood and iron, iron can mine gold, grass, wood and iron. Gold and diamond can mine everything.

XP Per Block

Each of the woods is worth four XP, each grass block is worth two XP. An iron block is worth ten XP. A gold block is worth fourteen XP. The diamond block is worth 24 XP.

Play the Game

For Alex and Steve: the objective is to get to level five. Each level has ten XP in it. On your turn start by drawing a card. Each card gives you a special advantage. If you can use the card you must, if you can't then discard it.

You get three actions per turn, you can move, mine, or attack. Some blocks contain XP, when you kill a monster you get XP equal to it's original hearts. You can use tools to be more efficient. Each time you level up, if you have at least one of the material from one level above what you currently have you get a tool one level higher, you choose which improves, your pickaxe or your sword.

For monsters: Kill the players before they get to level five. You get three actions per turn, you can move, or attack. You do damage equal to what your card says. You can be in the same spot as a block.
