I will explain my design process of making my design on tinkercad.
Thinking of an Idea

I first began this project by thinking of an idea to create. I thought about 2 ideas. The two ideas I came up with are a book holder and a pencil holder. The pencil holder seemed like a good idea but also seemed to basic. With it being so basic I decided to create a book holder to hold a book open or just to stand it up.
Creating the Base
![Screenshot 2021-10-19 at 2.39.50 PM.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FUW/RMI6/KUYDHNCP/FUWRMI6KUYDHNCP.png&filename=Screenshot 2021-10-19 at 2.39.50 PM.png)
The thing I decided should be first would be creating the base. I started by using the box shape. I put the box on base and the measurements were 127mm length, 80.62mm wide and the height was 10mm.
Back Base for the Book
For this step I decided to use another box shape but for the book to actually lay on. The measurements for this shape ended up being, height-104.48mm length- 125.39 width- 46.47.
Making Back Stand for the Holder to Stand Up
![Screenshot 2021-11-02 at 2.31.06 PM.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FAX/4KZ9/KVIEHEST/FAX4KZ9KVIEHEST.png&filename=Screenshot 2021-11-02 at 2.31.06 PM.png)
The next step is to make the back stand for the holder to actually stand upon itself. I made sure that I clicked "back" on the view cube. After I could see the back of the holder I chose another box shape to actually make the stand. I shaped it to different measurements to see which would work the best. The final measurements were length- 81.05, width- 27.34, and height- 87.83. The second to last thing I did was tilt it a little bit for it to do its job properly. At last, when I was happy with the shape I placed it on the back of the shapes and grouped it to see if the measurements weren't off and they were good.
Creating a Bottom Piece for the Item to Stay in Place
![Screenshot 2021-11-02 at 10.15.58 PM.png](/proxy/?url=https://content.instructables.com/FBF/7SKK/KVIEHIGP/FBF7SKKKVIEHIGP.png&filename=Screenshot 2021-11-02 at 10.15.58 PM.png)
I used the shape "I" to create just a little structure for the bottom so the idem that will be layered on top would stay in place.
Side Pieces for It to Come Together

At last, I used 2 more "I" shapes and did the same thing as did in the step above this one but only for the sides.
The Ending

After that was finished. I grouped everything together to make sure the measurements were right. I then downloaded my design on my flash drive and printed it.
