Book Nook

My project was to make a book nook for my book collection. I found a photo of a book nook I wanted to replicate online and decided to make it Beauty and The Beast theme. Instead of the book being in the middle of the table, I plan on adding a rose.

Supplies

Design the Box

Go on your computer and search up Makercase. Chose a box design, input the dimensions of the box, and download the box plans

Create the Box

Go to your laser cutter and make sure it is turned on. Add the material the laser cutter is going to cut inside.

Go to Glowforge, sign in/make an account, and click "create a design". Click the plus sign, click upload, add the box plans, and select the material the laser cutter is going to cut. Check to make sure everything is correct and print it out.

Design the Decorations

Go to Vectr and create all the decorations/objects that are going into the box. Once done, click "export" and download the designs.

Go back to Glowforge and click "create a design". Click the plus sign, click upload, add the designs, and select the material the laser cutter is going to cut. Check to make sure everything is correct and print it out.

Paint

Put everything together (not gluing it yet), and if it looks good, take the different pieces apart to paint and let it dry.

Assemble

Do the final assembly, gluing everything together, and you're done.
