First you really need to sterilise bone well. Boil it for a few tens of minutes, then strilise it with some desinfection (if you use some chlorine-containing disinfection, bone will be whiter). For whiter colour, you can leave it on direct sunlight for a few days.

Pick your ornament and transfer it on the bone using a carbon paper.

(You can draw it, if you have sure hand :-))

Lets Drill!

!!! Put on your goggles and cover your mouth and nose (preferably with respirator or at least a moist cloth) - it is really important protect your health against accidentally flying bone fragments and dust).

Cut out the ornament from the rest of the bone by diamond drill and strart to taking out material everywhere, where you want to have a gap in the ornament.

Finishing

Continue grinding material from gaps until you reach the desired ornament.

Then finish it by grinding from the top - by grinding a bone in places, where one line meets another, you can achieve the impression of a knot.

Done :-)

If you wish, you can polish it with felt.

Expect the bone to acquire a yellowish patina over time.
