Boaty Mcboatface! a Paper Boat Guide

In this guide I'll teach you how to make a cool paper boat that can even float in water!

Supplies

For this guide You'll need to following items:

  1. A piece of A4 paper
  2. Scissors

Create a Square Piece of Paper

Fold the paper into a triangle in order to make sure it's square. Press of the diagonal line created with your finger to tighten the square.

After that, use the scissors in order to cut the paper.


At the end of this step you'll be left with a square piece of paper.

Fold the Square Into a Smaller Square

Fold the paper along the middle of it horizontally then vertically in order to make a smaller square (1/4th the size of the original square)

Turn the Square Into a Triangle

Lift one of the four sides of the square and fold it from the bottom right corner to the top left corner in order to make a triangle. then flip the paper and fold the other 3 sides left opposite of the previous flip.

Open

In this step you need to open the triangle we created from the middle and fold it into a new square.

You should open it from the middle and then pinch the two sides of the triangle and bring them together

Open Up Your Boat

All you need to do now is pinch the two top side pieces of the square and pull them apart to reveal your boat

You can now also open up the base of the boat from below so it will stand right up!

Viola Now You Have a Boat

Congratulation, now you have yourself a small paper boat you can place in your bath, sink or even a puddle in the road! :)
