I hated the way I had to use my iRig with the electric guitar and my smartphone because there were too many cables!!!!!!!
Basically, I found two main problems with the original design:
1.- I donĀ“t want to use a guitar cable because it is another thing to carry on when travelling
2.- The headphones cable is too short compared to the guitar cable, so at the end, you have to be very close to the desk while you are playing
So I decided to eliminate the need to use the guitar cable and convert the female plug of the iRig into a male plug.
I also needed to buy a female to a male extension cord for smartphone earbuds (3,5 mm with mic).
Now I just plug the BlackJack into my electric guitar and my earphones to the device. Then, using the extension cord I can put the smartphone on the desk with only one cable.
Step 1: Disassemble the IRig
