Bite Sized Bacon Baked Potato
Potato. Cheese. Sour cream. Bacon. All delicious and even more so put all together. But in larger quantities, not the most healthiest of meals. With this instructables, you get to have your bacon and eat it too. These delicious bite sized portions can be served as appetizers at any dinner or event.
Gather Your Materials
You will need the following items:
Potatoes
Maple Flavored Bacon
Rosemary Garlic Salt
Shredded Cheese
Sour Cream
Chives (optional)
Toothpicks
Aluminum Foil
Baking Sheet
Knife
Wash Ingredients
Always remember to wash every ingredient.
Covering a Baking Sheet
Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Cover with at least two layers (sometimes the toothpicks make holes and creates a big mess).
Baking Potatoes
After you've rinsed the potatoes, you will wrap them in aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
Remove Potatoes From the Oven
Remove the potatoes from the oven and cut them into bite size pieces.
Season the Potatoes
Season the potatoes with garlic rosemary salt.
Cut the Bacon
Cut the bacon strips in half.
Wrap the Potatoes
Wrap the seasoned potatoes with maple flavored bacon and secure the bacon with a toothpick. Place each bite sized piece on the baking sheet.
Cover the Baking Sheet
Completely cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Place in the Oven
Place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 30 minutes (for the first 10 minutes, the baking sheet has to be covered with foil). Remove the baking sheet from the oven, flip the potatoes carefully. Place the baking sheet back in the oven for another 20 minutes.
Preparing the Toppings
Chop the chives finely. Remember that the chives are optional.
Remove Baking Sheet From the Oven
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Place back in the oven for 3-5 minutes. Then, remove from the oven.
Add Toppings
Remember to remove the toothpicks and then serve immediately after removing from the oven. Place sour cream on top of the melted cheese and add chives if you prefer.
