Biocone Bio Luminaire

Biocone Luminaire desk lamp is inspired by parametric/biomorphic design and organic shapes for students or office spaces, making the space exciting by giving a sense of fluidity and connection to the natural world by looking at the form and shape of the luminaire and how the light casts the surrounding while doing assignments or studying
Supplies
Utensiles:
- Spoon
- Bowl
- Bucket
- Cooking pot
- Cloth Strainer
Materials:
- Flour
- 1 tray of egg carton/card
- Green food coloring
- 1 Sachet of Gelatine powder
- Water
Recipe for Making(Flour+Egg Carton)

Flour+Egg Carton Material:
1.Collect and clean egg cartons, removing any labels or adhesive residues.
2.Cut the egg cartons into small pieces and soak them in water for a few hours to soften.
3.Drain excess water from the soaked egg carton pieces.
4.Mix the softened egg carton pieces with flour in a ratio of 2:1 (egg cartons to flour) in a large mixing bowl.
5.Add food colouring as desired for aesthetic purposes.
6.Knead the mixture thoroughly until it forms a homogeneous dough-like consistency.

Bioplastic:
1.Boil water in a kettle
2.Mix 1 sachet of gelatine powder with hot boiled water in a bowl/cup
3.Stir continuously until gelatine is fully dissolved
4.Add food coloring as desired and stir well to evenly distribute the color.
5.Pour mixture into a mold/sheet.
6.Thin layers make the mixture more flexible
7.Allow the mixture to cool and set at room temperature.

- Cover mold with foil to avoid stickiness
- Layer the mixed egg carton+flour material on the mold.
- Leave to dry outside the sun until it has a hard consistency on the outside.
- Remove the formed structure,then remove foil from inside the material then leave outside to dry.
- The luminaire form takes approximately 3 days to fully dry.

- After the luminaire form has dried up assemble the green bioplastic and bulb supporter/holder
