Supplies

first you of course need your wood that you use i used a piece of wood from a tree (no dur) (but other than that i have no idea what wood i used(and its not toxic))

and you also need your saws and hand tools i used a jigsaw and an electric sander a dremmel a handsaw and sandpaper

you also need wax and "primer"? i used walrus oil wax and coconut oil

Cutting the Bowl to Size

disclaimer i didn't get enough pics of this step i just got an after this step photo. so for this step i used a hand saw to cut it into the right sized square but you can really use anything after that i took the jigsaw and cut out a more advanced shape then what i did is i took an electric sander an put it in a campy thingy to sand it into the right shape (and don't worry well be doing more sanding) you also have to drill a few holes in the out part and top

Cuting Gluing and Bending the Stem

20240804_201222.jpg

so first what i did was i used the jigsaw and cut a strip of wood the size i want it and then i cut that in half then what i did was i carved a thingy through the middle so smoke can come throgh i used a dremmel for this then what i did was i put a string through the middle (that we just carved out) and glued them together. after letting the stem dry overnight i soaked it in hot water then clamped i to a bent mold to bend it

Sanding the Stem

after it was done drying i could take it out of the clamp so in this step i did the same thing with the electric sander and the campy thing so in this step what i did was sanded the stem till it was round

More Sanding of the Bowl

so this step is pretty straightforward sand the bowl till you like the shape and put wood filler where needed im sorry i got no pics on this step

Glueing the Bowl and Stem

also straightforward glue them together i used epoxy glue

so for this step go over the hole pipe with medium and fine grit sandpaper carve some leaf designs rap rope around the glued spot and wax it and boom done project congrats
