On a hot summer day, send your taste buds flying with a Berry Blast Smoothie Pop! I blended my absolute favorite smoothie and created a fresh sensation by sticking it in the freezer. This delicious treat is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face!

Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 6 ounces of Light & Fit vanilla yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of blueberries (I used frozen blueberries so they wouldn't go bad)
  • 1 small banana

Other Materials:
  • Blender
  • Food scale
  • Measuring cups--1/2 and 1/4
  • Spoon, preferably large
  • Popsicle mold

Blend!

Start out by placing your blender pitcher on a food scale. Zero the scale, and set it to ounces. Measure out 6 ounces of yogurt. Then, dump 1/4 cup of milk on top of the yogurt. After doing so, it's fruit time! Unpeel your banana, and drop it in. Measure out 1/2 cup of blueberries, and add them in. Lastly, blend your smoothie!

Pour and Freeze

Get your popsicle mold, and remove all the sticks. Pour the smoothie into each compartment. Clean up any excess drops that may have fallen onto the top of the container. Then, push a stick into each popsicle. The amount of Popsicles you can make with one smoothie depends on how large your popsicle mold is. I had leftover smoothie, so I enjoyed it on the hot afternoon! Place the popsicles in the freezer upright and on a flat surface. Wait a few hours for the magic to happen!

Enjoy!

Once the smoothie pops are frozen, take them out of the freezer. You may have to wait a few minutes for the pops to melt a little to remove them. After that, enjoy! Smoothie pops have a consistency like no other Popsicle. They are thick and creamy, and are greatly appreciated on an extremely hot summer afternoon!
