Bench From the Chairs

DSC01629.JPG

My wife told me I would make a bench for the garden. We have 2 granddaughters and one grandchild. When they come to visit with their parents, there is far too little space to sit and play. As well, kids love a little for themselves so they can enjoy it more.

I was thinking about how to make a bench. I only had 3 boards. You can’t make a bench with this material. I wanted to make a simple, durable and functional bench. And I found a solution. Someone threw away 4 metal chairs. I used 3 boards and 3 chairs to make it.

1.I first removed the canopy from the chairs

2. I fixed the chairs together with clamps

3. I marked the shape of the boards

4. I made grooves and shape with a jigsaw

5. I sanded the sharp edges on the boards

6. I drilled holes for M6 screws in the metal part of the chairs and wooden boards

7. I painted the boards

8. I fastened the boards with 10 M6 screws

9. I additionally fixed them with 6 wood screws 15 mm long.

And the matter is over.
