Pancake art is fun and easy and if you mess up, no big deal! You can just eat it! It is simpler than it looks and adds a fun, whimsical element to your breakfast.

What You Will Need.....

You will need...

Pancake batter that is thinner than usual (homemade or boxed)
Food dye
A stovetop and pan

If you are making pancake art that is very detailed, you might want a towel to rest your hand on.

Next, divide the batter into even parts. You will need as many parts of batter as the colors you will be using. I used 5. Add a few drops of food coloring to each and mix it up!

Put the batter into different squeeze bottles or bags. Put the stove on the lowest heat possible and draw out your art. You could create an smiley face, a crayon, a flower, or even an Easter Egg! These are simple and good for beginners. Once bubbles appear on the top of your pancake, flip it and cook until it is fully cooked. Then you are done! For parents that have kids that fight over who's pancake is whose, you could initial their pancake! But remember, you should write like you are looking into a mirror. Good luck!
