In a small bowl mix together the salt, pepper, garlic salt, beer can chicken seasoning, and garlic and herb. Pour this mixture over the chicken and softly rub it in. Rub the seasoning under the wings as well. The dry mixture will clump with the dijon mustard, just smooth this over the area.

Cut the Garlic and Butter

If using a stick of butter cut 3 Tbsp of butter. Save 1 Tbsp of butter and put it to the side. Cut the remaining 2 Tbsp of butter in half. Cut 3 gloves of garlic in half.

After this is done, pull the skin on the chicken away from the breast, and stuff a piece of garlic and butter between the skin and the meat. Repeat this step all around the chicken.

Let the Chicken Sit

Place the chicken in the refrigerator and let it marinate from 2 hours to up to 24 hours.

Cook the Chicken

After 2 or more hours have passed preheat your oven to 350. While the oven preheats grab your beer of choice. Pour half of the beer out, or you can drink it if you are of legal age. Use the remaining glove of garlic and place it in the beer can. Also, place the remaining butter in the beer can. Place 3 sticks of Rosemary in the beer can as well. You will then place the beer can up the backside of the chicken. This allows the chicken to have a base support to sit upright on. Place you chicken on your baking pan and place it in the oven. Cook the chicken for 2 hours.

Once the chicken is done take it out of the oven and let it sit for about 20 minutes to cool off. Remove the beer can and dig in!
