Beautiful Beachy Bracelets
Have you ever been sitting in your room bored with your friends? Well if so this is the perfect instructable for you. These classy Beachy candy stripe bracelets are so fun and easy to make. I know you're thinking right now “that looks so hard” don't worry if I can do it you can do it too! The best part about these bracelets is that you can customize them and make them whatever length and color you like. Have I convinced you yet? Well if so let's get started!!
Supplies
-3 colors of embroidery string
-Scissors
-A flat surface
-Ruler
-A positive attitude
You will need to pick one of these
-A safety pin
-Tape
-Or a water bottle with a handle
Choose whichever one you have in your house any of these 3 work, I'm using tape
Cutting Your String
Take one color of your string and line the start of your string up with the top of the ruler, a ruler is 30 centimeters and your string needs to be 45 centimeters long. So measure out 45 centimeters of string using your ruler and cut at the end using your scissors, you will have to do this twice, 2 45 centimeters strings for each color. Repeat this process with the other 2 colors of string.
Tying Your String
Now that you have 6 strings, 2 of each color you line them all up and tie them all together in a big knot at the top of all the strings.
Separating Your String
As soon as all your strings are tied together you need to separate them, now tie, pin, or tape your string down. After step 2 and 3 your strings should look like this.
Starting Your Bracelets
There are 6 strings that you're using: string 1 is the first string on the left, string 6 is the last string on the right.
The 4 knot
Grab string 1 and pull it over string 2 creating a 4, then pull string 1 under string 2 and pull up repeat this twice. Now take string 1 and do the same thing you did on string 2 put with string 3. You have to do 2, 4 knots on each string. Repeat this 4 knot process on each string until u get to string 6.
Starting a New Row
Now that you have done the 4 knot on all the strings and string 1 is now at the end it turns into string 6. Now you need to take the new string 1 and do the same thing 4 knots, twice on each string all the way down the row.
Just Keep Going
Repeat this with every string and keep going and going till your desired length. You also should start to see a diagonal stripe pattern starting to form.
Finishing the Bracelet
Once you have your bracelet to your desired length(i make mine long enough to go around) my wrist you tie a knot just like the knot you tied to start off the bracelet, tie the knot right where you stop the bracelet. Now tie your bracelet around your wrist and you're done!!
Conclusion
Once you have your bracelet to your desired length(i make mine long enough to go around) my wrist you tie a knot just like the knot you tied to start off the bracelet, tie the knot right where you stop the bracelet. Now tie your bracelet around your wrist and you're done!!
