Beats in the Hood Hoodie

_DSC8636.JPG

I had this idea for a long time, and finaly i did it. I was realy surprised how well it worked out for the first time :) .

The Hood lining was thin, so with thicker lining it may not be easy.

What You'll Need

Old headphones (mine was broken headband), zip-ties, needle and thread, knive or scissors, flathead screwdriver. oh and hoodie :)

Prepare Headphones

Seperate the headphone shell with screwdriver. but do that carefuly - don't cut the wires. Mine headphones had vents that i will gona use for inserting zip-ties. If your headphones doesn't have holes, then you probably need to drill some.

Measure

Make some guide lines on the hood. Outer line is headphone size. Inner line is where cut out needs to be. Leave some fabrik to be folded and zip-tied to the headphone. Don't cut out too much. Also make cuts where wire will exit the hood and in the pocket.

Sew the Edges for Fabric Not to Tear.

Tying the Headphones

Put heaphone frame inside the hood through the hole that was cut out. Don't forget to insert other side heaphone through the same hole (because wires :) ).

Make some cuts for zip-ties in fabric. Cuts needs to be somewhere on the outer line.

Insert zip-ties through the holes in the headphone and through the fabric.

Tie the Zip out of it :)

Finishing Touches

Tied zips should look like this.

Make sure that fabric won't obscure the holes for puting headphones all together.

If it does make some cuts where the holes are.

All Done
