Be a Little Boulder

I decided to make this rock for my friends Christmas present. This was very simple to make and quite funny.

First you will need to choose a nice rock that is not too small to write on. Once you have chosen a rock you should start painting the rock with acrylic paint. I chose yellow paint so it would be very bright. Once you have painted a base of your chosen you will have to wait for the paint to dry before applying another coat of paint. I sped up the drying process by using a hairdryer to dry the rock. I had to apply 4-5 coats till I was happy however this might vary depending how thick you paint.

First draw an outline of what you are going to write on rock in pencil. Then fill in the shapes with a different color paint. I fist used a brush to do this but my brush was way too big. I don't have any smaller brushes. So to fill in the letters I used a wooden tooth pick. This was quite difficult and I had to scoop the paint onto the tooth pick. I would recommend buying a smaller brush to paint this instead. But it is manageable with a toothpick.

Now you are finished you can display it for everyone to see. This also makes an awesome gift to give to someone else. Hope you enjoyed reading. :)
