Bauble Cocktail Ring

Big statement making jewelry is always appreciated in my book. Today is my take on a bauble ring craft Martha Stewart had created using strung sequins. While a beautiful approach, it is a bit tricky, so I substituted the sequins with beads. Enjoy!

What you will need:
* Ring base with a small pad
* A 20mm wooden bead (used for doll heads)
* A package of beads of your choice
* Tacky glue
* 5-minute epoxy
* Something to hold your ring in place (I used a clothespin)
* Mod Podge

Prep your 5-minute epoxy by mixing the two solutions together into a paste. Apply to one of the holes in your wood bead, and insert the ring pad into the hole (you may need to enlarge the hole with a screwdriver or drill if your ring pad is too large).

Allow to sit for at least 4 hours.

In small sections, apply your tacky glue and let it sit for a few seconds. Drop beads onto the glued area and arrange them as you please. Do this until your entire wooden bead is covered. Allow to dry for at least 4 hours.

Using a soft paintbrush, paint on a light coat of glossy Mod Podge to seal the beads together. Allow to dry again, and you’re done!
