Hi All,

Few months back I was inspired by Yet another Batman Lamp. I wanted to make one, but I did not want to buy a new plywood or MDF sheet. I wanted to reuse / recycle what I already had.

So I made following changes in my design

  • I will use cardboard instead of plywood
  • Build smaller
  • Lesser LED lights for night lamp

And you do not need any power tools.. safe to replicate at home for any new DIY enthusiast

What Do We Need ?

  • A cardboard piece 18" x 7"
  • Cutter
  • Amber led strip
  • Led 12V driver
  • Thin wires, suitable for DC
  • Electric wire with power socket
  • Pencil, scale and eraser
  • Black acrylic paint
  • Soldering iron
  • Hot glue gun

I got my cardboard from one of the Amazon's delivery boxes and the wires from my previous projects

  • I decided to hand draw it, mine is 18" x 7"

  • So to reduce light, I have used just 5 LED strip elements
  • Connect all +ve to each other and the LED driver
  • Connect all -ve to each other and the LED driver
  • Solder all connections
  • Connect the 220V input to the LED driver with electrical wire with power socket
  • Hot glue the cables in place

  • You can decorate with stickers or draw on it
  • Using double side tape to hang it on the wall
