Bartending for Beginners: Simple Margarita
What drink goes more hand in hand with summer than a margarita? You can find this classic cocktail pretty much anywhere down in the tropics due to its cool refreshing taste. While there are dozens of methods to make this drink, I will be covering a quick recipe that will get you back to relaxing faster rather than taking your time in preparation.
Supplies
As this is a minimalist margarita, there will only be four ingredients that are used. Some recipes I have seen use more and as a result, take longer to make. You will need...
- Tequila
- Triple Sec
- Lime Juice
- Salt
- Drink Shaker
- Plate/ lid/ something to pour salt on
Add and Mix Ingredients
In the stuff you will be adding and mixing all of your ingredients into the shaker. This simple recipe calls for two parts tequila 2 ounces tequila, one ounce of triple sec, and one ounce of lime juice. Pour all of these into the shaker with some ice and close it up. Shake until mixed but don't pour it in your glass quite yet.
Prepare Your Glass
Before you pour the contents of the shaker into your glass, you're going to want to prepare it so you can enjoy your margarita to its full extent. To do this, take your plate, plastic lid, or whatever and pour some salt on it. Shake it just a little bit so it's evenly you got an even coat over the surface. Run your glass under some cool water focusing mainly on the rim of the glass. This will allow the salt to stick to the rim of the glass.
Serve and Enjoy
Once you have the salt on the rim of the glass you can have the contents of the shaker into the glass. That being completed, your margarita is ready to be consumed. So wherever you are, imagine you're on a nice warm beach and enjoy your refreshing drink. Thanks for reading!
