"DON'T HAVE A COW MAN !!"... "EAT MY SHORTS !!" and "GET BENT !" ...those are the words of the little spiky hair BRAT or BART from Springfield ;0 the classic Dennis the Menace Meets a Big DADDY Rolf cartoon charactert. Ever wanted to make a mask based on the MATT GROENING creation, well here's your chance ...

AY CARAMBA !!!

Supplies

FOR SUPPLIES ...

  • A4 (well full face size) Piece of cardboard.
  • news papers/ recycled papers
  • stretchy flat elastic
  • stapler
  • white mesh fabric
  • small piece of wood/plastic silinder 2/3 inch
  • wall paper paste/pva glue (which ever suitable for you
  • sharpie/posca marker (black/white
  • yellow/white acrylic paint

CUTTING THE HEAD SHAPE

Get your A4 size cardboard, make sure it cover the full length of your.

Then get your marker pen and draw a Bart head like on the cardboard, afterwards cut around the bart shape head.

Then final, cut a triangle shape on the chin part of the cardboard bart head, this is where you'll get the chin circulare look from, and staple the two edges together.

GLUING/PASTING

Now for the messy part, get loads and loads of streaded newspaper and make a pot or bottle of wallpaper paste or a pva glue, that good enough to cover the entire mask with the newspapers,

After ward, roll a small nose shape size of newspaper, glue the piece on the nose part of the mask so it's pointing out, like a typical nose.

Leave it to dry overnight until it rock hard and solid.

CAUTION:

NOTICE ONE OF THE PHOTO, I DIDN'T MENTION YOU CAN OVER PASTE YOU BART HEAD SHAPE WITH THE NEWSPAPER, OVER THE SPIKY HAIR PART, WHICH DOESN'T MATTER AS IT WILL MAKE THE HAIR PART LOOK MORE SOLID AND STRONGER, SO IT WON'T BEND TOO EASILY, ONCE IT'S DRIED, YOU CAN RE CUT THE SHAPE OF HOW BART'S HAIR LOOK LIKE.

Now the colouring bit, if your in a rush or want to complete it quickly, I say use yellow spray paint, high quality not cheap or yellow acrylic paint, but two to three coats worth ( caution: wear dust mask when using spray can, you don't want in inhales fumes and most of all, allways paint outside, well ventilated).

Leave to dry, cut hole eyes, not too big , but hidden as you'll be glue white transparent mess fabric behind the eye hole of the mask.

Use black posca marker, for the finer details like eye circle, mouth shape of choice and a head cruel, then paint the on drawn eyes with white acrylic paint and your very much done.
