Barbara Maitland From Beetlejuice

I came into possession of my aunt's wedding dress from the 70s this summer and it inspired my idea to do Barbara Maitland in the séance scene from Beetlejuice.

To create the look I hand-stitched 3 packs of green fairy lights inside the dress and veil. The wig is a lace front by Wecan. The makeup took about 5 hours to complete as I'd never used these products before. I built up my eyebrows first using eyebrow plastic by Kryolan. Then my cheekbones, nose and chin with Ben Nye scar wax. Lastly I created the wrinkle lines using Dermaflage. I used Prosaide underneath the eyebrow and scar wax, and coated everything with setting powder before painting. To paint I used both alcohol and water activated face/body paints. To set I used an everyday drug store setting spray.
