Bamboo Coasters Stationery Holder

This project is inspired by the Molic cube I saw in a shop. I wish I could show you guys what the original product looks like, but unfortunately I could not find it on google :( Anyway, it’s basically a stationery holder made with (what I believe) a couple of wooden laminates.
Things you’ll need:
Bamboo coasters x 6 - I think mine is from IKEA. They’ve been lying around my house for a very long time now, and no one seems to want to use them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Tools:
- Hot glue
- Scissors
- Lighter
- C-clamps
- Papers
- Saw
- Plier
- Pencil
- Bookends x 2
- Dictionaries (or heavy stuff in general)
The box come with 6 coasters, so I'll be using 3 for pen-holding, 1 for paper-holding and 2 as the front and the back.
1st: front
2nd: RHS
3rd: RHS LHS
4th: LHS
5th: memo
6th: back
Marking

Mark where you want your pens to go. Here the rectangles have dimensions 2cm x 1.5cm.
Extend the lines to the front of the coasters as a guide for sawing
Sawing

Cut the 2nd to 4th coasters according to the marked lines. Remember to keep the bottom part. Since I don't have any fancy tools, I used two bookends and a c-clamp to secure the coaster, and two dictionaries to keep it from moving.
Gluing

Hot glue the 1st to 5th coasters together. Use the c-clamps to secure them.
For the Memo-holding Part

Cut out 4 tiny bits with approximately the same length from the hot glue stick. Use a plier to hold it and heat one side with a lighter. Stick the hot glue bits to the 5th coaster, heat the other ends, and stick the 6th coaster to them.
Done

It's super easy, quick and environmentally friendly!
