Ball Vending Machine Lamp

Would you like to recycle an old toy?
A few Christmases ago I received from my mum the ball vending machine that I wanted.
Don't get me wrong I LOVED IT, but after a while I've got tired of having it on my table; so I've come up with the idea of turning it into an awesome lamp.
What Do You Need:
- Ball vending machine
- Remainders of a lamp (cable, lightbulb, etc.)
- Glass-colors
- Brushes
- Nail
- Candle
- Pliers
- + bonus track: BLAST “everything is awesome” and sing it along!
(Don't) Go Breaking It Apart

I disassembled the ball vending machine.
I divided the sphere from the body and then, using a nail heated-up on a flame, I made a hole in the dead centre of the upper part of the base. USE PLIERS TO HOLD THE NAIL.
(I think this is the easiest way, I'm not a pyromaniac!)
I assembled the lamp (I passed the cable through the hole and screwed in the lightbulb).
Color It Up!

Then I painted lots of brightly colored balls on the outside of the sphere while, on the inside, I painted it white (so I won't blind myself staring at this awesomeness).
I waited for the colors to dry and I secured the sphere at the base.
ALL DONE!

Now I’ve got a super-cool lamp AND a ball vending machine (it still works because the internal gear hasn’t been touched :D )
PS: I'd like to thank my sister, without whom this instructable wouldn't have been so awesome. Love ya'
