If you love chocolate and if you ever have brown bananas laying around that no one eats, this is the perfect recipe for you. Overripe bananas are the key factor to making a delicious banana bread. They will be sweeter and easier to mash!
Anyone with the age of 14 or above could easily make this bread! This banana bread can be made in an hour, 10 minutes of prep time and 50 minutes in the oven, and you will have 1 loaf that can feed up to 8 people. Follow this recipe to have a delicious banana bread.

Supplies
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 3 large brown bananas
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup walnuts

- Mixing bowl
- 9 inch x 5 inch loaf pan
- Measuring cups

Preheat

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease your loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Smash


In a medium bowl, smash your three bananas with anything you have laying around. A spoon, fork, or whisk will work.
Wet Ingredients

After smashing the bananas, you will now add the wet ingredients into the mixing bowl. Crack an egg, add the oil, the melted butter, and the pure vanilla extract. Mix well.
Dry Ingredients


After mixing the wet ingredients and the bananas well, you will now add the dry ingredients. Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, brown sugar, and salt. Mix together well.
After mixing, add in the chocolate chip as well.
Bake



Pour the batter into the prepare loaf pan. Sprinkle a little bit of chocolate chips and walnuts on top.
Put the pan in the oven and set a timer for 50 - 65 minutes. By sticking a toothpick in the center of the bread, you can check if it is ready or not. If the toothpick comes out mostly clean it is ready. If it comes out with batter on it leave it in the oven for a few more minutes.
