Baked Potato Pizza
Are you tired of the same old Pepperoni Pizza? Craving something different for dinner tonight? Why not make yourself some Baked Potato Pizza! This isn't your ordinary dinner suggestion and honestly, when I first heard of it, I thought it really weird. I can now say, it is something you MUST try! I have yet to find a person who doesn't like it!
Supplies
- Pillsbury Pizza Crust
- 5 or 6 Large Russet Potatoes
- 8 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese
- 16 oz Prairie Farms French Onion Dip
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Salt and Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- Lawry's Seasoning Salt
- Bacon Bits, Chives, Sour Cream and any other toppings you would like..
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Gather your ingredients! You will need a pizza crust, some potatoes, french onion dip, cream cheese, salt and pepper, garlic, seasoning salt and shredded cheddar cheese. I don't know what you like on your Baked Potatoes, but I love to add Bacon Bits and sometimes Sour Cream and Chives.
Roll out the pizza dough onto a Cookie Sheet.
Cook the Pizza Crust in the Oven for 10-12 minutes.
Cook 5-6 Large Potatoes in your microwave for 8-10 minutes. Or until soft.
While your Pizza Crust and Potatoes are cooking, Stir the Cream Cheese, French Onion Dip, Salt and Pepper, Garlic and Seasoning Salt.
When the potatoes are done, remove the skins and dice them in a medium size bowl.
When your crust is done, spread the Cream Cheese/French Onion Dip mixture onto the crust. This is your "pizza sauce."
Spread the diced potatoes on top of the Cream Cheese/French Onion mixture.
Sprinkle Cheddar Cheese on top of the Baked Potatoes.
Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes. Or until cheese is melted.
You can add any other toppings you like.. Sometimes I add Bacon Bits, some Sour Cream and Chives.. It all depends on my mood. My mom likes to add chopped onions and jalapeno to hers for extra flavor. I like mine a little more plain.
I use a traditional pizza cutter to cut the pizza into squares.
And Enjoy! Pizza doesn't have to be so boring after all!
