You will need:

-Bread, I used Sourdough Bread

-Onions fried in olive oil

-Fried bacon

-Sliced cheese

-A fried egg

-Butter

-Hickory sauce (or any BBQ sauce)

-Bags and ties.

-Salt and pepper to taste

First Layer

Spread your bread with butter, then squirt on a dollop of hickory sauce and use a knife to spread it around. Use the sauce on only the bottom piece of bread.

Second Layer

Next add the fried onion's. For an additional flavor I sometimes add a sprinkle of Italian herbs to the onions while they are cooking.

Third Layer

Add the bacon. As you can see we used 'bacon bits' which are basically all the off cuts from a rasher of bacon. We find these very useful because they are are more chunky like and also because the price is cheaper.

Fourth Layer

Add the egg slices. As you can see we have spread out the egg and bacon pieces to multiple sandwiches, which is more economical on price. Then give the whole sandwich a sprinkle of salt and pepper.

Fifth Layer

Place your sliced cheese on top and complete the sandwich with another slice of bread.

Packaging

Place a portioned lunch into a plastic bag, in my case two sandwiches, and seal with a twisty tie.

These sandwiches can be frozen for up to three months.

Once defrosted you can use a sandwich press to heat up the sandwich and crisp up the bread.
