Backpack Holder
As a student, I tend to not like how I have to put my backpack on the ground and bend down in the middle of class, unable to see the board, to grab something from my backpack. So to make my backpack more easily accessible I wanted to create a backpack holder that can be placed on the edge of a desk so you can hang your backpack up.
Supplies
360 fusion to model the backpack holder
back pack holder made from iron gray cast.
mahogany wood to model the table, and what the holder would look like
-Ideation-I was stuck on what to do for this project so I started thinking about what to do, after some long thoughts I created the idea in my head based on the problem I wanted to solve. I sketched it (I lost the sketch) and then took my design to the next step.
-prototyping- modeled the backpack holder on fusion so I would get a better picture. Created a sketch first then extruded it, added a construct plain at the right height to make a circle, then extrude the circle to give it more weight, hopefully balancing the weight of the backpack out. Then I added another construct at a different angle to create a "lip" so the backpack could latch on to something.
-finishing the design-making it look better by rending it and creating a wooden "block" that would represent the table, I made some final edits by moving the circle inward to hopefully make it work the way I intended it to.
