Baby Grand Piano Bookshelf

We cut the body of a Baby Grand horizontally and turned it into a bookshelf.

Supplies

  1. Baby Grand Piano, Jig saw, plywood, paint, (2) 8' x 1" x 6" boards, drill, screws

measure the width you want for the outside shell of the bookcase and make cut with a jigsaw - we used tape to protest the finish

trace out shape and cut plywood to fit as a back of the bookcase.

Once back is screwed on, measure and cut your vertical piece. This is what you attach your selves to.

Adding Legs (optional)

We used legs from a discarded coffee table, that happened to be a great match. It also gave us the space under the middle to reuse secure the foot pedals.
