Baby Elephant 3D Print
A couple years ago my daughter started asking for a house key so I thought that this could be a good excuse to play with Tinker Cad and make a keychain.
Note: The below supplies are separated into Must Have supplies to complete this project and Nice To Have supplies, but you could pick them up later. For example you don't need Calipers if you are a beginner with 3D printing, but as you develop this skill it is a very handy tool to have in your tool box!

Get Your 3D Print
The baby elephant keychain is a design that you are welcome to reuse, remix, tweak, and build upon. Below are a couple options for you to get the 3D print of the Baby Elephant keychain.
- If you have access to a 3D printer you are welcome to download the file (baby-elephant-keychain.stl) attached below to print & use
- Another option would be to copy the Tinker Cad file at this link. This option would give you the ability to add your own touches to the 3D design & Tinker Cad has instructions on how to send your designs out for printing
- Finally you are always welcome to purchase the 3D print over at ShapeWays. I would appreciate that because I would get a couple dollars to put back into my creations!

Add a Jump Ring
This video will show you how to open a Jump Ring so you can put it on the tail of the elephant.
This video will show you how to put the jump ring with the elephant on it and a key onto the Split Key Ring.
Final Note
Full disclosure, after a couple years the tail broke off the elephant. I drilled a hole for the jump ring. If you would like to adjust the design you may want to remove the tail and add a hole like in the photo, or print the design in a harder material like metal.
