●BEES WAX LOTION: for Hands, Boots and Wood●

DSC_0529.JPG

This is a simple bees wax cream with only two ingredients: bees wax and oil.

I use it on my hand before working to protect them, during the winter, or before snowboarding or after climbing. It is a really fat cream, so it feel really nice and protective.

Is also good to keep nice your boots, or to wax a wooden item after you are done sanding it.

WHAT YOU NEED

You need:

-bees wax,

-oil of your choice (I like to use extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, rose hip oil). You can also mix more kinds.

-an empty glass jar.

Add half glass of oil to the wax.

HEAT IT UP

Eat it up in the microwave or bain-marie.

Make sure never to boil it, because it will damage the oil and wax properties.

MIX

Mix the oil and the wax really well, until all the wax is melted.

COOL DOWN

Allow to cool down without a top on the jar, so that the vapor will not fell back inside of the lotion.

DONE

You are done!

If when cool down you find the cream to hard add some more oil and heat it up again.
If when cool down you find the cream to liquid add some more wax and heat it up again.

And of course if you know you will use it for boots you may use some cheap mineral oil, if is for your hand some good moisturizing one.
