BBQ Burnt End Sandwich
My Project is a BBQ “Burnt end” sandwich on a white baguette bun. I picked that because I love BBQ and I have not found a burnt end sandwich on a Baguette. I also have not seen it done before and I want to be the first to accomplish it. If you are looking for a quick but simple delicious sandwich then this is the right place for you. All that is on this sandwich is Burnt ends, caramelized onions, on a baguette bun. This sandwich is super easy to make and takes little effort at all to make it one of the best sandwiches you will ever try. There will be little to no cleaning up involved after you make this sandwich so once you are done making it you will not have to worry about the dirty dishes.
Supplies
The ingredients are pretty straight forward. You will need a baguette of your choice that would go along with the sandwich. You will next need 1 sweat onion to top the sandwich, then you will need 1 stick of butter to help get the toast on your baguette and to caramelize the onions. The final ingredient you will need is classic burnt ends if you cannot get freshly made ones I suggest getting the frozen burnt ends form Aldi
Tools:
1 mixing bowl
1 stick of butter
1 skillet
3x knives
Start of Caramelizing the Onions
For step 1 we are going to caramelize onions. In order to caramelize you will need at least 10min get the best flavor.
Melt half a stick of butter in a pan and wait for it to star bubbling then put in your onions
Buttering
The next step is to melt some butter so you can glaze the baguette to add some more flavor. The butter will help add a little more pop to the baguette
Finial Step of Caramelizing Onions
Once your onions achieve a golden brown color they will be the perfect temperature and the taste will send you to haven. As soon as you believe your onions are done let them cool down for about 1-2 minutes and then start to make your sandwich.
Consturction
The last and final step to this sandwich is the construction. You are going to cut your baguette like a sub and began to layer the burnt ends first and then the caramelized onions last. If you want to add a little bit more flavor you can put bbq sauce of your choice on the burnt ends. Your sandwich should look like this in the end
