STORY

As a community, our ambition is to make the most efficent vehicles powered by alternative energy sources for a better future. Our club; which was founded by Yıldız Technical University students, continues it’s legacy with the intense efforts of the students from different disciplines. Our motto is “Save Your Energy”, showing we aim to add value to the World technically and socially.

The AESK team takes part in national and international competitions in line with its ambitions and objectives. Vehicles produced by us took part in competitions such as Formula G and Efficency Challenge which are organized by TÜBİTAK. Aforementionded vehicles, which in addition works with solar and electric energy, have achieved a great success by getting degrees from the competitions.

As a team, which our ambition is to surpass ourselves, countinue to work with great enthusiasm and devotion.

During these processes, JLCPBC has been one of our best supporters in reaching our goal.

Battery Management System

Battery management system; It ensures longer, more efficient and safer use of the battery pack. It consists of control, measurement and precharge card. All three boards are produced by JLCPCB.

Measurement Cards

The measurement card measures the voltage of the battery cells and sends the data to the control card via the UART and SPI communication protocol. It also removes cell imbalances with passive balancing method according to the commands it receives from the control card.

Control Card

It is responsible for performing all the tasks of the battery management system by managing the control card, measurement card and precharge card. The algorithm and software required for the battery to work within safe operating limits work on the control card hardware. Of the battery; It measures and monitors parameters such as voltage, current, temperature, SOC and SOH. The communication of the BMS and other units is also done on the control card.

By means of the signals sent by the control card to the precharge card, the bar at the battery output is charged slowly and in a controlled manner. Therefore, operations such as precharging, battery output current, busbar voltage are carried out.
