Hey everyone I’m Cielo, I’d like to introduce a DIY safe and definitely useful baby gate I made. It’s fairly simple and takes roughly no more than an hour to assemble and complete. This project is 100% baby proof and for the most part won’t damage the intended spot for the gate. This baby gate helped me and hopefully helps whoever intends to try it out.

Supplies

Only materials needed are:

  • One used clothes drying rack
  • 2-4ft tall pool noodles
  • Strong all purpose tape

Tools
Only tools needed are:

  • One xacto knife
  • One tape measure

Assemble Your Clothing Wrack

Your going to need to assemble your clothing wrack to your desire, spacing your rods however far you want. I did mines 2 inches apart.

Measure the Gap Your Wanting to Block

Your going to need a tape measure. This will help you measure the gap and let you know how wide your gate needs to be. In my case the wrack my mom was throwing away just happened to be the right size.

Apply Your Pool Noodles

Take your noodles and your xacto knife and cut a vertical line all the way down each noodle. Your going to cut your noodles to the size of the perimeter of the gate, leaving a small gap in the middle of the gate and the bottom of the gate untouched.

Secure Your Noodles

Final step your going to take your tape and secure the cut noodles to their outside pole.

Enjoy Your Safe Baby Gate

I hope this DIY project helped you out and you find it as effective as I do!
