Avocado Chocolate Pudding
Hello, everyone!
Don't let the name of this decadent and delicious chocolatey dessert prejudice your thinking, as this concoction of mine gives a convenient way to incorporate healthy foods into a scrumptious dessert. The avocado and banana, the building blocks of this mousse, give it a decadent, smooth and pudding-like texture without the guilt of a traditional mousse or pudding!
Supplies
One medium avocado
Half of a ripe banana
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup pomegranate juice (Or any other tart juice)
Whipped cream (optional)
Chocolate shavings (optional)
Step 1: Make the Pudding Base
The first and most important step of making this pudding is to blend together half of a ripe banana with an avocado, peeled and cut into chunks. To get the blender whirring, you first have to add 1/4 cup of pomegranate juice. If the blender is still not moving, shake it around some more as adding any more liquid will make the pudding watery.
After blending the pudding base ingredients together, scoop the mixture into a bowl and add the 1/4 cup powdered sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa powder. You can always adjust the powdered sugar level to your taste.
Step 2: Assemble Pudding
After everything is well-mixed and there are few to no chunks, scoop the pudding into the serving vessel of your choice. I garnished mine with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, but feel free to add anything, I recommend berries and banana slices.
It's that simple! Your delicious, healthy, and chocolatey pudding is ready! Enjoy!
