Automatic Twister Spinner 2.0
This idea is from https://www.instructables.com/Automatic-Twister-Sp... by Emily Chan122804.
I made some changes to this project to make it easier to use. From this creator, she chose to use a sound detector to trigger the function. However, using sound can easily cause problems such as the sound can't be detected by the detector at the angle the person is standing in. Therefore, I decided to add a button to it so when the sound detector doesn't work or the player prefers it, they can use the button instead. I also edited the code and fixed the bugs for the spinner. After the change, the automatic spinner becomes both manual and automatic, forming the Automatic Spinner 2.0.
Supplies
The Machine:
Arduino Leonardo (1 unit)
Breadboard (1 unit)
Sound Sensor (1 unit)
Servo Moter (1 unit)
Male to Male Jumper Wires (14 units)
Male to Female Jumper Wires (3 units)
USB to Female Wire (1 unit)
Battery Compartment to Female Jumper Wires (1 unit)
USB Cord (1 unit, for connecting Arduino with computer)
Momentary Button to Female Wire (1 unit)
Electricity Resistance (1 unit)
AA Battery (2 units)
-
Spinner and Decoration:
Marker (1 unit)
Hard Ruler (1 unit)
PP Corrugated Board (1 unit)
Red, Blue, Green, Yellow Colored paper (1 piece per color, A4)
Thicker Paper or Cardboard (1 piece, A4)
Scissors (1 unit)
Art Knife (1 unit)
Box that's not Transparent (1 unit, big enough to fit the Arduino, breadboard, and the extra wires)
Double-sided Tape (1 roll)
Connect the Circuit
Connect the wires and objects as shown in the picture provided above.
*Note: Change the D2 to A2
Write the Program
Click HERE to get the pre-written program. After downloading the program and putting it into the Arduino app, plug the USB cord into the computer. Then, upload the program into the Arduino board.
Create the Spinner
1. Draw a semicircle on the PP-board with a radius of 25 centimeters using the marker.
2. Cut out the semicircle using the art knife and hard ruler.
3. Cut the colored papers into 4 pieces (1 piece for each color) that is 1/4 of the semicircle using scissors.
4. Divide each of the colored papers into four equal parts using the marker and ruler.
5. Write 'left hand', 'right hand', 'left foot', and 'right foot' on each of the sections of the colored papers using a marker.
6. Repeat previous steps for the other three colored papers.
7. Use the double-sided tape to stick the colored paper onto the PP-board. Do not intersect one another.
8. Cut a hole near the center of the circle with a diameter of 6 millimeters using an art knife. Leave a few millimeters of space from the edge to the hole.
Create the Box for Arduino
1. Cut a hole in the lid with a diameter of 3 centimeters at the bottom left of it using an art knife.
2. Cut another hole with side lengths of 2.3x1.3 centimeters at the bottom right of it using an art knife.
3. Cut a hole on the larger side of the box at the mid-bottom with a diameter of 5 millimeters wing an art knife.
Assemble the Automatic Twister Spinner 2.0 => DONE!
Assemble the spinner. After assembling, decorations can be made if wanted. The Automatic Twister Spinner 2.0 is DONE!
