Did you ever think that how the street lights automatically turn ON in the night and turn OFF automatically in the morning? Is there any person who comes to ON/OFF these lights? There are several ways to turn on the street lights but the following circuit describes an Automatic Street Light Controller Circuit that uses an ultrasonic sensor to perform this job automatically.

Whenever a car passes from the ultrasonic sensor the led will get automatically on in series. I have programmed the led in such a manner that when the car passes from 3rd led the 1st first led get automatically off and same as for other LEDs.

The project can be implemented in National highways to save electricity and also no person is required to switch on/off the street lights.
