Automatic Plant Watering Sysem
Here is how I made my automatic plant watering system.
Supplies
What you will need:
An Arduino Uno
L298N Motor Driver - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M29YK5U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&fpw=alm
Peristaltic pump - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0791YL351/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&fpw=alm
Soil Hygrometer - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CQT5RC8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&fpw=alm
(2) LED lights (1 red, 1 green)
(2) 220 Ω resistors
Breadboard
9 V DC wall adapter - https://www.amazon.com/Arduino-Power-Supply-Adapter-110V/dp/B018OLREG4/ref=asc_df_B018OLREG4/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198063088238&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17067746144159534290&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9012087&hvtargid=pla-318768096639&psc=1
Step 1: Setting Up the Arduino
Set up the Arduino as shown in the fritzing diagram.
Step 2: Print Out 3D Encasement
I printed out a 3D encasement for the Arduino, motor driver, and the breadboard. You can design this any way you'd like. I recommend putting on some type of cover to prevent the electronics from water damage if any spills were to happen.
Step 3: Load Your Code
Upload your code to your arduino. The code I used may need to be altered to better fit the watering needs for your plant.

Step 4: Putting Everything Together
You can create a base like I did or you can have the arudino set up behind your plant. The base I have here was made using poplar wood.
