Auto Street Lamp and Fault Detection

Prototype Img.jpg

Imagine street lights that automatically adjust brightness based on surrounding light levels, saving energy. Plus, our system detects faults like bulb failures, ensuring safer streets. Let's dive in and see how we've combined technology and innovation to make our communities brighter and safer

Supplies

We're using a light sensor (LDR) to detect faults and control when the street lamps turn on and off automatically. So, when there's an issue with a lamp or it gets dark, our system kicks in to keep the streets well-lit and safe

*Arduino

*LED as Street Lamp

*Connecting Wires

*LDR

*LDR module

*Breadboard

How We Started

Arduino With LEDS.jpg

We began by connecting Arduino to a small display and LEDs acting as street lamps for our prototype. To detect problems, we used a light sensor (LDR) that reads feedback from the LEDs. Also, we used another LDR to check weather conditions. Then, we wrote code in Arduino IDE to control our system

Future Plans

We're using wireless tech like ZigBee or NRF24L01 to find faults without wires. Then, we want to set up a Centralised Monitoring System to see all the faults at once

For Wireless fault Detection :

ZigBee

NRF24L01

Additional Feature is

Centralized Monitoring System

Benefits of Project

Street LAmps1.jpeg

•Energy will be conserved

•Real Time Fault Detection

•Time of lineman will be saved

•Increases road safety
