1 12 oz. can of evaporated milk

1 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk

Let's Make Some Horchata

Rice and Cinnamon.jpg

Start by soaking one cup of long grain white rice into 2 cups of hot water, also add a whole cinnamon stick. Let the cinnamon and rice soak for at least 2 hours.

Let's Puree the Mixture

After 2 hours, pour the rice and the cinnamon stick into the blender and puree. We need to break down the rice as much as possible, so that the water is infused with all the rice flavor.

Strain the Mixture and Add the Rest of the Ingredients

Now strain the mixture, in a separate container add one 12 oz can of evaporated milk, one 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk, 1/2 of cup of whole milk and 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Stir to combine and make sure the condensed milk dissolves completely. After this add the rice mixture and 4 more cups of water.

If you like it sweeter, you can add sugar until you are happy with it.

Enjoy Your Drink!!

Finally to serve I like to add the ice to the glass, then pour the creamy horchata and enjoy. This is the perfect drink to refresh ourselves.
