I introduced my 8 year old son to the iconic Little Shop of Horrors movie and he decided he wanted to be Audrey II from the movie. So we decided to hand make his costume.

It took about 2 weeks to make his costume. The cost was a little high with all the different color spray paints we bought. The vines and leaves were also pretty pricey.

It is very easy for my son to wear, walk and dance in. It is pretty light considering how big it is.

Everyone absolutely loved his costume! We made the costume so that people could throw the candy right into his mouth, which they loved! Instead of saying trick or treat, he said FEED ME SEYMOUR the whole time! So far it has been a big hit!

We made the head out of paper mache using a fitness ball and cardboard (see picture) and foam pipe insulation for the lips. We did 3 layers of paper mache.

We painted the head and hot glued on the leaves onto the back of the head. We cut out a hole in the bottom so my son could get it over his head and shoulders. We put a piece of memory foam inside for the top of my son’s head to make it comfortable.

We made the teeth out of wood dowel rods. Cut them, roughed them up, painted them and hot glued them on.

We covered memory foam with fabric to make the tongue and supported it inside with pipe insulation pieces we had left.

Bottom Part / Pot

We bought a plastic pot and cut out the bottom of it.

We used folded duck tape to make straps and taped and hot glued them to the bottom insides of the pot.

Then we took a cardboard ring and hot glued it to the inside top of the pot. Then we glued vines dangling down to the cardboard and covered the cardboard with moss.

Time to Dance!

Audrey II and Baby Groot Dancing!

We got a video of him dancing in it along side my daughter in her Baby Groot costume and they looked awesome! He was a big hit! Everyone has loved it so far!
