Breadboard Jumper wires (12 to 15) 9V Battery 9V Battery Clip Two Ne555 or one single 556 Time 8 Ohm speaker Resistor: 1k ohm Two 500K Ohm Variable Resistor (Potentiometer) One 5K Ohm Variable Resistor (Potentiometer) Capacitors: Two 10n

What is 555 timer? 555 timer is an integrated circuit. It is commonly used in a timer and oscillator generators. The basic 555 timer has three 5 kΩ resistors connected internally.

We Can Also Use One 556 Timer Instead of Two 555 Timers.

First of all, we will assemble two 555 timers on the top of the board.

Put two 500k pots on one side and other 1k pot on the right bottom side.

Connect positive rail to the one of 500k ohm resistors using a jumper wire. (The orange jumper wire indicated by blue arrow in the photo below )

Put the green jumper wire to the pin 10 (discharge A)

Use the resistor to connect pin 2 and pin 7 of the upper 555 timer.

Connect pin 2 of the upper 555 timer with negative trail and pin 2.

Connect Pin 1 of the upper 555 timer to negative rail

Connect Pin 1 of the lower 555 timer to negative rail

Connect Pin 8 of the upper 555 timer to positive rail

Connect Pin 8 of the lower 555 timer to positive rail

Connect the middle leg of the variable resistor to the positive rail using a jumper.

Take a jumper and connect Pin 7 to Pin 6 of the second timer.

Connect Pin 6 of second timer with negative rail using capacitor.

Connect Pin 6 of the second resistor to the outside leg of the 5K Ohm Variable resistor.

Take your speaker and connect one wire to the middle leg of the variable resistor.

Connect one wire of the speaker with the middle leg of the resistor. Connect the other wire with pin 3 of the second timer

Connect pin 2 and 3 of the second timer (In the image below, it’s yellow wire indicated by the purple arrow.)

Apply 9V battery
